As we mentioned in our previous blog post, analyzing the safety manuals of SEooCs and deriving the safety requirements is one of the complex tasks when implementing FuSa in your projects. The complexity becomes manifold due to the way in which different chip vendors (Ex: NxP, TI, Renesas, Infineon etc.) provide their safety manuals. There is no consistent format in which these vendors provide their safety manuals and hence the onus to correctly analyze, understand and implement the requirements falls squarely on the integrator.
To make the lives of FuSa developers easier, we have created a 'Safety Manual Analysis Template' which provides a standard framework that could be used by an integrator for analyzing and capturing the most relevant information from the safety manuals. This document has been released under the 'Creative Commons' and is free to use by anyone as long as they refer to our organization as the source of this template.
